And also, I found beautiful damask printed wallpaper I really, really love. Has anyone ever put busy wallpaper around windows or doors? I was thinking I could put it around the french doors, but I'm worried it would look silly. Any opinions or pictures?
Thanks!

I’m down with a nasty cold, hopped up on Indian herbs, Genmaicha, and enough honey to drown in.

Fairly sure most of my brain and body have shut down to give my drawing arm power. In fact, the arm is typing this entirely on its own.

The sticky fruit of my labor, thus far. Not sure whether I’ll begin digitizing this today, as I’m being yelled at to “get the fuck in bed and get some sleep”.

@C_Bushnell #NaNoWriMo tip:Use SpiceGirls speak.Instead of "Whaddya want?" say "Tell me what you want, what you really really want" +8 words!
@Steph_Meyer #NaNoWriMo tip: @C_Bushnell: I have one, too!!! Use "oh my god" instead of OMG. +2 words!!!
@JRR_Tolkien #NaNoWriMo tip: My favorite word count cheat? Write a poem in Elvish, then, in the next paragraph, translate it in2 English.
@JimCarroll #NaNoWriMo tip: It's not easy to stay awake and writing for 30 days straight. I recommend crystal meth and frappuccinos.
@AnneFrank #NaNoWriMo tip: Avoid distractions! When I wrote my book, I locked myself in the attic & refused to let any1 in.
@JK_GrrRowling #NaNoWriMo tip: Pacing 1self is 4 muggles. Finish all 50k words by the 15th, leaving plenty o time for sequels & lawsuits.
@PlaywrightGibson #NaNoWriMo tip: Deaf characters r great. They force other characters 2 constantly repeat themselves, thereby adding words
@TheRealMelville #NaNoWriMo tip: Give a character a peg leg. You'd be surprised how many extra words U can get from sound effects alone!
@$tephenKing #NaNoWriMo tip: The number 1 tip for increasing word count? "Adverbs," he said slowly, succinctly, solemnly.

I also have a big feature/interview inside but I've not seen a copy yet.
As well as that I also have a pic in the German Foto Magazine for a feature on Marla Rutherford, a full page in the new Bowens Litebook magazine, 2 full pages in the Spanish Sensuality Magazine for a feature on Maya Hansen corsets and I'm on a full page ad in this month's Scarlet Magazine for the new collection from Angels Carrying Savage Weapons. Phew!
( (big) scans under thee cut )
I think I forgot to post about the new Angelic Weapons collection actually.. it was shot several months ago around the streets of Nottingham but has only just become available. Many pretty clothes! And the shoes were so hot! Can't find any bigger pics than these at the minute though:

we had a gang of scooters parked out front for a scene here... curious passer bys were wondering what we were doing. who are these young kids with a tall american holding a giant boom microphone?
i have to stand there and pretend i know what i am doing...because really all i can do is feel it out and run with it. this was probably one of the most fun nights.
we had only found the location the night before, and just simply asked the owners if we could shoot there. no permits needed! they hung around watching us with smiles, and when we wrapped there at midnight, they still served us cold drinks.
all we had in exchange were thank yous and a hope to immortalize them forever. every time we walked by after that, they would just greet us with a "ni hao" and smiles.
there is always more... but where does one begin?

just got all my pictures back from japan.
there is still so much from taiwan though.
I need some advice on desks.
Long story short, I changed some furniture last February and got a new, tiny desk. I didn't realise that it would be so hard to study on it. I hate it now, 'cause I don't have anywhere to put books and stuff while studying and I always end up studying in the kitchen or the bed.
So, I'm planning of getting a new desk.
( my room right now and a little map )
You think it'd be good like this? And confortable for studying, indeed?
Any other ideas on how to rearrange the furniture? My other idea is to put the bed across the room, but I'm quite used to having it next to the wall and I'm not so sure of changing.
I'm all ears :)
Kammie.
(Sorry for the crappy, crappy English, it's not my mother language and I'm typing while on the phone so I'm kinda distracted :P)
edit: The plan is just a drawing, now that I see it again, it's funny how much I suck at it xD For example, my closet looks enormous and in fact it's pretty small. HAHA, Paint!Plan fails at life. *kammie hides in shame*
Thanks for commenting and giving advice :)

Anyhoo sleep found us eventually and day 2 in Hamburg was spent visiting some sights, including the St Nikolai church ruins. The weather wasn't great (read: bloody freezing, damp and grey) but it was still a pretty cool view from the top of the tower.
The next day we car-pooled to Berlin to meet up with
We also visited the Pergamon Museum again (was there very briefly in june). It's the first time I've done an audio guide, it made a huge difference and I saw many things I would usually have overlooked! I'm no good with words so I won't even try to describe how amazing this place is. So inspired to make more drawings :)
The trip back to Hamburg is worth a small mention by itself... Voivodess had befriended a couple who were also looking to travel from Berlin to Hamburg on the same day as us and as a party of 5 we could get a group ticket which would be 8 euros each between us instead of 70 euros each seperately. However this meant we weren't allowed to take the 1.5 hour fast train but instead had to make 3 changes on the daftest most indirect route around obscure parts of Germany, totalling 6 hours.
But the story doesn't end there! We finally got onto the last connection only to have it terminate in Lubeck instead of Hamburg. No explanation or annoucement from anyone, the staff at the train station were as confused as the many passengers who had been travelling to Hamburg, who all stood around the empty station looking confused, tired and cold. Some of the passengers had obviously been to some sort of Anime/Manga convention and were still dressed up in Cosplay gear, it was a sight! The situation wouldn't have been so bad had it not been after midnight at this point and the entire station was deserted and about to close. There was one last train to Hamburg at 00:40 to save us from another night of no-sleep. Felt sorry for people who had been catching other connections in Hamburg though ><.
So ends my very brief overview of adventures in german-land. And now, for some silly photos! I just dumped my camera memory card so these actually start off from latest travels in Northumberland and Scotland before getting to Hamburg and Berlin.
( under a cut, there's quite a few... )

Last week marked two years since the Coilhouse blog launched in October 2007. To commemorate the occasion, Nadya, Mer and I sat at our respective web-cams across the globe and made videos which Mer edited together to create the birthday masterpiece below. I invite you to read our two-year anniversary post here.
While we’re on the subject of birthdays, Lou O’Bedlam had one, along with a celebratory barbecue. Ever since my days of adventuring down South, I’ve been fascinated with this ritual. The secret sauce, its recipe guarded by generations, the grill preparation, the astonishment at how much food can actually be stuffed inside a single human stomach – all those elements remain the same no matter which state you’re in. Its simultaneously comforting and disturbing.
Vee is passionate about nuts.
I am passionate about sausage.
Lou’s dad is passionate about barbecue perfection. The mix master of meats. MEATMASTER.
Amanda liked my sock garters and had a bottle of spiked cranberry juice.

Lou turned 32 and looked fabulous doing it.
This is what October looks like here.
Ales and I had very different takes on the “meat coma” face.
After a serious post-BBQ nap, we were off to my favorite autumn event; the Dia De Los Muertos spectacle at the Hollywood Forever cemetery. I shot a huge gallery there I’m happy with that’s up over at China Shop right now. Click here to see it.

For Halloween, Chris Gore and I went on a costume-hunting quest, the documentation of which can be seen on China Shop, here.

This was one of my favorites – Lucy from Bram Stoker’s Dracula. I attempted this costume once for a photo shoot, but I think this girl did it better. Here is my version, shot by Dan Santoni, before I go.
And now I go. More soon!

!?!?!?!?
I have the number for animal control, but am not sure if we should even bother? Or maybe we should just go next door, explain the leash law, explain our dogs bad history with dogs like theirs, and hope they do something?
